Triggered Action Response Plan (TARP)
Triggered Action Response Plan (TARP) is a structured, risk-based approach to managing falls of ground hazards. TARP empowers crews to identify, classify and respond to rock-related risks using a clear escalation model.
- Green – Minor Risk: Hazards can be handled safely by the team using standard procedures and controls.
- Yellow – Moderate Risk: Work is stopped and the area is assessed by supervisors before any activity continues.
- Red – High Risk: The risk is escalated to management and rock engineering for further assessment and intervention.
Key features of TARP
- Visual hazard reference cards
- Safe declaration documentation
- E-learning and virtual reality-based training
- Behavioural and leadership integration
TARP enhances hazard awareness, empowers crews to act decisively and supports safer, more productive mining operations.
